Happy Saturday!
I had some time before work, so I thought I’d post a long-time-coming blog with some updates as to what I’ve been up to lately, as well as what’s about to go down!
The West Virginia Dueling Piano tour was fun! It happened last Thursday and Friday, October 17 and 18. We hit up Wheeling Jesuit on Thursday, and West Liberty on Friday (pic below). I know there were a couple of you who were wishing that I had let you know about it… sorry! I must admit I was caught up in road-lag and did not think to write a blog or Facebook post promoting this tour. Still no excuse! I promise I’ll be better about keeping you up-to-date in the future.
Perhaps the other reason I did not see fit to advertise the last couple of Dueling Pianos shows is… I am retiring from Dueling Pianos! I know, what a shocker. I do not see myself going in the direction of this particular field of entertainment into next year. It’s been a good run… I’ve learned a lot about how to entertain, and met some amazing people through the course of my Dueling adventures, many of whom are much like me and incredibly talented – but I’m ready to focus my efforts on writing and performing songs. Dueling Pianos, while a perfectly legitimate and awesome field in both music and entertainment, is just not me, and while it was fun, it was starting to demand more from me than I was willing to deliver. And that’s OK! And to all of my Dueling buddies out there: keep rockin’!
So, rather than Dueling Pianos, you can expect more posts about my very own creative endeavors, as they unfold in the realms of songwriting and performing and hopefully, at some point, recording! And to kick that off, I’d like to let you know about a radio broadcast I’ll be doing very soon in Louisville, KY! It will be November 1 at the new Highlands Taproom on Bardstown Road. If you can’t make the event, not to worry – it will be streamed live at 10:00 pm EST from the home page of Crescent Hill Radio! I, along with several other awesome artists, will be doing a 45-minute set of original songs! I’m really looking forward to this event and hope to see you out there.
That about does it for now! Thank you so much for reading and I’ll be talking to you soon!

POST SCRIPTUM
Have you checked out any of the podcasts I’ve recommended? If so, tell me how you liked them and if they inspired you in some way, and if so, how. Spending so much time on the road, I love my podcasts and devour them much faster than a normal podcast-subscriber! Every one I listen to is so loaded with helpful paradigm-shifting information, but every now and then I come across one that just blows my mind. Here’s one that really did just that for me:
